Loofah is not a synthetic product but a plant from the cucumber family, Luffa cylindrica. With normal use, a sponge lasts about 4 weeks, after which it can be disposed of in the organic waste or compost.
Size of a standard kitchen sponge. Dried to save weight and transport, and naturally expands with water. Thanks to the open cell structure, food residues stick less to the sponge and it dries faster, preventing odors and bacterial growth.
