MELICAO is a natural chocolate alternative made with 88% organic European flower honey from Bulgaria and 12% organic cocoa from Peru. The honey is only gently heated to make it spreadable, preserving its flavour and nutrients as much as possible.

A pure combination with no added sugars, no palm oil, and no unnecessary additives. Simply a jar of natural energy with real cocoa flavour.

Raw honey is not heated to high temperatures or industrially processed. This means that all its natural substances are preserved: enzymes, antioxidants, pollen, vitamins, and minerals.

Most supermarket honey is heated or blended, causing these valuable properties and much of the flavour to be lost.

• No blend of questionable origin: The honey in MELICAO is 100% organic and sourced from the EU (Bulgaria). No blending with non-EU honey or refined sugars. The cacao comes from Peru and is also organic.

• Very gently heated: Gently warmed only to make the texture spreadable. Not heated industrially like commercial spreads, so most of the nutrients are preserved.

• Unfiltered: The honey is processed as little as possible. Pollen and enzymes are preserved—as is the natural power of raw honey.

Our MELICAO is a pure alternative. No palm oil, no milk powder, no refined sugar—just organic honey and cacao, nothing more.

    Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and heat.

Raw honey naturally crystallizes. That’s a good sign – it means the honey is genuine and unheated. Would you like to make the honey slightly liquid again? You can do so easily, without damaging its beneficial properties.

How to do it safely:
– Place the closed jar in a bowl of warm water (bain-marie)
– Make sure the water does not get warmer than 40 °C
– Let it warm up slowly until it reaches the desired consistency
– Stir gently if necessary

Why a maximum of 40 °C?
Above 40–42 °C, enzymes, antioxidants, and flavor compounds are lost. By heating slowly and gently, you preserve all the valuable nutrients

So crystallization is not a flaw, but rather proof of quality.

Rauwe honing next level is de cacao & rauwe honing. Vergeet de chocopasta uit de supermarkt die allerlei ingrediënten bevat die niet goed voor je zijn, de chocopasta van HANT is gemaakt met pure ingrediënten. Er zit alleen biologische bloemenhoning uit Bulgarije en biologische cacao uit Peru in. Geen overbodige toevoegingen, wel veel smaak. Lekker op brood, maar ook een verrassend goede topping voor havermout of pannenkoeken. Yum!
